Here’s an old, rare, Frank DiLeone Tenor Acoustic Guitar. I believe it’s from the 1930’s or 40's, but I could be wrong. It’s OOO parlor sized, measuring about 13” across the lower bout, Waist is 8 1/4 and the Lower Bout measures 10"  Scale is 23”.Frank DiLeone was a noted upright bass guitar maker in the New Haven area in the 1930’s and 40’s. His son Lou DiLeone is also a noted double bass maker. This guitar features a DiLeone shop label, with a corrected address. (It wouldn’t be too much work to estimate the age of the guitar by tracking down the locations and dates of his workshop.) This is a Tangable piece of New Haven Connecticut History.  The label has a Corrected Address (Futher Evidence that We Italians, don't waste anything).  Not going to spend another dollar reprinting labels, Just add the correct one over the incorrect one, Job done!!To the best of my knowledge, the guitar seems to be entirely mahogany – top, sides, back, neck. The fingerboard is a really nice piece of Mahogany. Action is a reasonable, with a straight  neck.  The tone, to my ears, is bright midrange, with a warm, boxy resononance, and fairly good sustain, Loud and Proud, It'll cut through in most acoustic situations. The tuners appear to be original, and the fingerboard and frets are in nice shape. Bridge and tailpiece appear to original and in real nice shape. ( I say ‘appear to be’ because without having another DiLeone to compare parts to, there is probably no way to be certain.) Overall condition is excellent, with some honest playing wear, but no structural flaws that I can see. Body Bracing is Solid ..  NO rattles anywhere.  Sorry NO CASE ..
