Description

Miami Weissenborn Ukulele vintage 1920's Style 1 Hawaiian Koa soprano uke w/caseRare "Miami" Koa Hermann Weissenborn ukulele made in Los Angeles in the late 1920's or early 1930's. Weissenborn is famous for his Hawaiian Koa acoustic Lap steel guitars and ukuleles that are still considered top-of-the-line today and highly coveted by players and collectors alike. This particular ukulele has the Miami / Ukulele Hughes label and was made for the Stadlmair company in the mid 1920's to be sold in their catalog. The M. Weissenborn brand can be found underneath the Miami paper label as shown in the detail pic of another identical Ukulele where the label has been torn off - this label is still pristine and fully intact. Comes with original hard shell case. Outstanding complete original vintage condition throughout with very faint signs of wear with no apparent damage or repairs evident aside from a few very small surface blemishes to the wood. All tuners and gut strings original and functional but expectedly old. Original hardshell case is super clean with just a few surface marks.
