Rane Empath Blue Face Analog DJ Mixer - 3 Channel phono/line w/ Mic Pre Serviced

The only thing I've never used and have no way to test are the CDJ triggers.This is one of two Rane Empath mixers I own. This one has stayed put in my studio while the Grandmaster Flash version I own sees action out in the wild. I have an E&S DJR400 as of this week so I need to let go of one of my Empaths go.These mixers are built like tanks, have a high gain output, have a high output headphone pre amp which is RARE in this day of digital mixers (even on Rane digital mixers) and a couple of different ways that you can Cue monitor. Sweet EQ's that really dig in to cut or boost. This is an IC chip based analog mixer. The mixer is fully functioning and is currently hooked up in my home studio where it stays. The pictures of the rear of the mixer are of my GMF Empath as I don't want to unhook this mixer til the E&S arrives. The outputs & inputs are identical as stated by Rane below. I've listed some of the features.- 3 channel phono / line input
- Auto-Gain switch (this is great if you do lots of cuts or play LP tracks)
- Sensitive stereo bus meters
- Balanced main XLR & 1/4 inch TRS booth outputs
- Penny & Giles Faders with contour curve for Cross Fader, Channels 1, 3 & X-Fader
- High output 1/4 inch TRS & ⅛ inch TRS headphone preamp/input (do not use both at the same time you'll overload the preamp). Headphone EQ (Hi/Lo shelf)
- Mic pre amp with Gain control, Hi & Lo shelf EQs and access to Effects loop
- Aux input & output (RCA) with gain control and options to route to Cue
- FlexFX Effects Loops with mix controls on each channel ( 1/4 inch input/output)
- CD Triggers that can be assigned to Channel 1 & 3 or A / B on the crossfader.
- Internal power supply with standard 3 prong AC cable.
- Flexible Cue system to how you want to Cue monitor
- EQ's can be removed from signal flow of the channel
- Compact 10 inch width with overhang on sides to hang between turntable cases or mounts to be screwed into 10" rackmount
Made in USAI can't stress enough the build quality (full metal housing), sound quality, high gain output (great if you're a digi DJ needing more gain too). This mixer sounds better than every digital mixer currently on the market including the Rane MP2014/2015. It should be noted that Rane corp was just purchased by inMusic and this will be the last (and BEST) analog DJ mixers they will every make.From Rane:The Empath mixer combined the vision of Grandmaster Flash and Rane technology.
