Futurama Arco Electric Double Bass Upright Bass 1955 vintage Resonet Jolana EUB This excellent upright bass was made in 1955 by the Czechoslovak RESONET company, which is the precursor of the subsequent JOLANA. The instrument was expoted by FUTURAMA to various countries and was marketed by the famous SELMER under the brand name ARCO. The instrument is extraordinary in many aspects. To this day it was the only upright bass made by RESONET and JOLANA, before this they hadn't even made any basses. From this instrument only a limited 100-150 pieces were made. In the 1950-60s, the instruments made by this company were widely popular among famous musicians. An upright bass like this one was used by John Paul Johnes from Led Zeppelin. Also, the Resonet Gracioso, which was made by the same company in the same time, was used by George Harrison, Jimmy Page and many others. The endpin can easly be adjusted , so you can change the height of the Upright Bass so it suits your needs for a comfortable playing. The Upright bass fully work. I highly recommend this bass, it’d have a great place in every collection, because you can’t find one like this nowadays, only at collectors.
