AKAI Professional EWI 3000M Sound Module Synthesizer w/ EWI 3000 Electronic Wind Instrument*Rare Synth for sale! Act now, BID!*The EWI 3000M that is listed here powers up but I have a difficult time getting the right sound out of it to completely guarantee that it works. According to the service manual this irregularity may be due to a faulty internal battery which can be replaced. My experience with synthesizers rests mostly with keyboards, but as far as functioning, the synthesizer registers "breath" from the connected wind instrument when I push the "monitor" button to test it. Cosmetically it looks great for its age (Manufactured in 1992). None of the buttons stick, and the knobs turn freely and register accordingly. Once again, the EWI 3000M synthesizer powers up, registers all inputs from the module and the wind instrument. Also included is a monitoring function, which allows you to take the current status of these sensors at a glance.With MIDI IN/OUT jacks on the EWI3000m, an external MIDI sound source or sampler can be played from the EWI 3000. The EWI 3000m can be controlled by an external MIDI Master device.16 Character back-lit LCD offers dialog type operability and carries out easy operation and verification for sound editing.
