Vintage 1965 Magnatone Estey Custom M12 Tube Amplifier Jensen 15 USA Bass Guitar

1965 / 1966 Estey Magnatone M12 tube amp made in USA. This is a very clean example of this rare Magnatone amp and I seriously doubt that you will find another M12 that looks as good as this. The Magnate M12 was marketed as a bass amp but really shines with guitar. Recently serviced here in Salt Lake City, Utah by a qualified technician from House Of Guitars. The two EL-34 power tubes were weak and replaced with JJ KT-77. The KT-77 tubes allow the amp a little more headroom and do not break up as quickly as the El-34 tubes. Amp has been updated to 3 prong cord (removable type cord) and "death cap" has been removed. A resistor and/or capacitor may also have been replaced. One of the two fastening bolts on either side of removable amp top has been replaced with a washer and a bolt. The replacement bolt fits perfectly and is sturdy enough for the amp to be picked up and moved by the handle. There is a stain on bottom right corner grill cloth. This amp has the original 15" Jensen Gold Label speaker. The speaker is original and used and will show wear commensurate of age. Please refer to the video provided for further sound and visual description. This amp is heavy (appx 60 lbs) and I would prefer not to ship this amp outside of the lower 48 states. Selling as is and as shown. I have stated everything I know about this amp. This was a pre-owned amp before I got it and I do not know the full history of it.
