The shiny lacquered brass finish is at least 95% intact and has a brilliant shine. The finish shows some minor light wear / minor scratches consistent with normal regular use but looks very nice overall. This cornet was well maintained/oiled by the previous owner and is 100% ready to play right out of the case. The horn is primarily lacquered brass, but also has the fancy nickel silver trim. The Bach CR310 was designed to be high quality "British Brass Band Style" cornet with its compact shepherd's crook wrap and it was made in the U.S.A. Serial number is F16XXX, receiver is stamped "CR310" and the bell is engraved with "BACH USA". This cornet has buttery smooth quick valves. All slides are free and have just been lubricated. There are some little shallow dings present in the horn and bell bow to be expected from normal use, but nothing major. All joints are intact. This Bach CR310 is very presentable and any serious cornet player would be proud to own it and play it. This cornet plays great as you would expect from a Bach. It has a sweet mellow tone and is very easy to blow. Bach craftsmen devote the same attention to detail on these horns as they do the Bach Stradivarius line. Mouthpiece is included so you can start playing instantly. This cornet comes with its Bach gladstone hardshell case, which is in very good used shape with some minor surface wear, but looking very good overall. The case has good working latches, a mouthpiece slot, an area for small accessories, black plush lining, and a sturdy handle. The case is presentable and provides great protection for this cornet.
