Model 1987! Made In England!
This is really cool. You are looking at a 1978 Marshall JMP 50W Lead MKII Model 1987 Amp. This JMP Series of amps were the forerunner to the legendary JCM 800 Series.
This is the legendary "Rocker Switch" Amp used by AC/DC in the late 1970's. Some of their best work (Back in Black, Highway to Hell) was done with the #1987 JMP 50W Lead MK II. Gets Insanely LOUD! Loaded with Mid Range Crunch and Headroom for days. Breaks up early around 4 to 5. Sounds Great! Awesome Classic Marshall Tone.Serial Number : #S/A 0078KWeight: 38.60 lbs.Best of Both Worlds. Player as well as a Collector. The value of these vintage Marshall Amps has been steadily going up. This is an amp you can really use. It is not museum quality but it is in good condition. Especially considering this is a 38 year old vintage amp. You will never loose any money on this amp if you ever decide to sell it and you will probably actually make a profit if you ever let it go. Not too many of these amps out there especially in this condition. The Vintage Marshalls that are made in the UK in the 1970's are still affordable, usable and are still relevant.
Rare and Collectable! Our Amp Tech did a Major Service on this Amp. You will not have to spend any additional monies. Gig Ready on Arrival!
I am starting this Auction at .99 with no reserve, so bid strong and bid often. Don't let someone outbid you in the last few minutes or seconds of the Auction!
Cosmetics: Good Condition. The tolex has some scuffs, scratches and minor tears. Instrument Control Bezel is very clean. All lettering is legible. There is some pitting and rusting on the gold handle support. Overall, decent condition for an amp that has been used. Dripping with "Mojo" The wear is what gives this amp it's street cred. Very Authentic. This is the "Real Deal" Overall, good shape. Normal wear and tear. It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
