This violin was hand made start to finish by luthier Dr. David Yin patterning it off of the Guarneri del Gesu "Lord Wilton" 1742 violin. The violin has a one piece back. Yitamusic marketed their high end instruments directly to the public using the Lakemont brand name in 2012-2013. They retailed this violin and other Lakemont violins for $3200 each but we received a discount on the Lakemonts because we ordered 5 instruments. We purchased 2 Lakemont violins but only need one now. Yitamusic sent a certificate of authenticity with the violin. My daughter played this violin for 3 years. She kept it in very good condition and is asking $1400. (She paid $1600 plus shipping). There are some small surface nicks in the varnish. I tried to show them all close up in the photos. The violin has tight grain and a nice sound. We never took it to a luthier to have it professionally set-up. It could benefit from a luthier setting it up with new strings. Case and bow included.
