Description
For sale is a rack of 8 vintage Siemens V270 line amps that have been modified to be used as mic preamps. These modules are originally from the legendary 1960's Siemens sitral consoles. The circuitry is fully discrete, and among one of the first transistorized designs. These modules have 55dB of gain, and have high quality hand wound transformers. The sound is much like Siemens V276 preamps, and the design is a close relative to the legendary V72 tube preamps. A company in Germany called Velvet Audio did a beautiful job racking these modules in a 3u rack, and it features phantom power, phase reverse, and a pad for every channel.
