Description
Here we have a great wartime "banner" Gibson j-45 with mahogany top. The FON is 29XX with 12 in red pencil on the neck block. It has a hefty baseball bat 3 piece maple neck, with 1 3/4" nut width. Frets and fretboard in great shape. The original bridge has been replaced with a walnut upper belly bridge with bone saddle. It has a long repaired crack on the back. And 2 unrepaired cracks approx. 4 inches long, 1 on the back and 1 on the treble side(see pics). The neck is straight the action is low with plenty of saddle. Tuners are original and work well, as does the truss rod. Never had a neck reset and does not need one. Various nicks and dings associated with a 72year old guitar. It plays great all the way up the neck with zero buzzing or dead spots. Just a GREAT player, like all "banner" j-45s that I have played. Great clarity of the individual notes, sounds great strumming with a flat pick or fingerpicking. Just a great all around player. Ships in a non-original hard shell case. Ask any and all questions, if I have missed something, no returns. Continental US only, paypal only.
