Vintage 1970's Bach Stradivarius trombone, model 42I am not a trombone player, but I am a trumpet player, so I will do my best to describe this horn accurately with my limited trombone knowledge. I had a pro bone player in my band play the horn thoroughly, and he was extremely impressed with its playing capabilities. - Serial# 20,xxx; which I believe dates to the mid 1970's. "Corporation" is stamped on the bell. (This is a good trait with trumpets, as it indicated an early Elkhart build)- It has a mechanical rotary valve trigger, which I believe is called an F attachment. - Cosmetics are fair to good overall. It does have a small ding or two, and signs of a previous dent being removed from the bell flare. Lacquer is about 40-50%. - Mechanically, the slide feels smooth with no hang-ups. The trigger appears to work properly. It is a tad noisy, but I don't know if that's normal. My trombone bandmate said it has had the original waterkey replaced with an Amado key. When he played it, it sounded wonderful. SHIPPING: $55, fully insured, with USPS to the USA. International, please contact me for a quote before bidding/buying.
PAYMENT: PayPal, USPS M/O, or cash in-person.Given my limited knowledge of the trombone, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I will do my best to answer them with some guidance. You are more than welcome to come play it if you are in the NYC area. Sorry, no returns...but I assure you I did my best to describe it as accurately as a trumpet player can. Oh...and I forgot to mention that a later style Bach case and Bach 6-1/2 AL mouthpiece are included.
