Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life...All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked.  Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition.  We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and are happy to answer any questions asked.  #64/2016Up for sale is a Bach Stradivarius Model 39 Professional Alto Trombone in the key of Eb. (serial number 223xx. Made in Elkhart IND by Vincent Bach Corporation around 1976.  The slide bore is .468/.468, with a 6 1/2" one piece hand hammered bell, designed for excellent resonance and projection. This instrument plays well and is made of yellow brass and solid nickel.  It has a polished raw brass finish.  There are a couple of very minor dings on the bell and some scratching; there is a minor dink on the slide crook.  However, overall a very clean example for the age of the instrument.  The slide action is very good!  The slide stockings show extremely light wear.  This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished every few months, if played often (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish). This trombone comes with an Olds #10 mouthpiece and the original case in good condition.This horn has a hauntingly bright sound; I like the Bach sound of the model 39.  It has a great sound for a higher-register instrument with excellent response and intonation.
