NO RESERVEPLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CLOSELYWhen I came into this Bass the body had been painted black Over the original red finish so I sent it to one of the best luthiers on the planet and he removed the black and brought it back to the Beautiful Red Original finish that it is now. The Bass is 100% original and also comes in the Original silver case which is in very good condition as well. The pickups are dated December 23 1967, the pots are dated 1966 (304 6631), the serial number neckplate (206489) dates to 1967, the Neck is dated March 68. The Bass is in very good condition showing very little fret wear, the neck is beautiful and smooth, the "Lollipop" tuners are in very good condition and work perfectly as do the Volume and tone controls. The Bass has cloth wire and the original solder joints have not been touched. The finish on the front and back of the headstock and neck has very fine "age checking" and the back of the body has some long "finish lines". All of this is clearly shown in the pictures. The Bass does have side edge wear where the finish is missing, both on the Top and Bottom edges of the the body with tiny marks and indents here and there. This is also shown in the pictures. There is No "buckle wear" whatsoever. It is obvious the Bass has been played, but taken care of as well. There is some bending in the pickguard. The intonation is set correctly and the Truss rod turns easily. The Bass has a wonderful resonant tone acoustically and when It is plugged in It sounds Great. It feels very solid and strong. The Bass weighs 7 pounds 14 ounces. The Original case is in very good condition, all latches and the handle are present and work as they should.
