This is a rare blue Jumbo Jave A55 alto saxophone mouthpiece in very good condition. There are no tooth gouges, deep scratches or chips. Completely original facing. You can see that these old blue ones have a slope from the baffle into the chamber. The new black ones have an abrupt step into the chamber. You can scare guitar players with these mouthpieces. Great projection but can whisper if you want. Typical Vandoren quality hard rubber.If you want a powerful mouthpiece without the little tiny slim profile of Dukoffs or other metal mouthpieces you'll like this.
