I pride myself on providing excellent service, on every auction, every time. And I have maintained a 100% positive feedback for many years. The reason this one happened is because I used eBay's Global Shipping Program to fulfill this order overseas. Normally, eBay will remove any negative feedback that is associated with a shipment they have fulfilled. However, because I had decided to taken a break from selling on the site for a few months and my eBay communications preferences were set so that I was not receiving messages via my regular email (believing that all completed auctions were successfully concluded), I was not made aware that the customer did not receive their item. By the time I noticed what had happened (May 15th, 2016), even though I made it right with the customer (as can be seen follow up feedback), too many months had passed for the customer to be able remove the negative feedback themselves (the option to revise feedback goes away after a couple of months). eBay also said that I brought the issue to their attention after the cutoff date to have them revise it. So although eBay agreed it was their error, the negative feedback stands. Ouch! I'm placing this explanation in each auction to make clear the reason this occurred and to reassure would-be buyers that I am a high-quality seller. Thanks.
