Red Welte-Mignon Steinway keyboardless reproducing piano, in excellent working order. M.Welte and Sohne New York - Freiburg This rare and beautiful instrument comes with 74 original Red Welte rolls. It has been beautifully restored twice since then, both times with Jim Nicholson, widely regarded as the best reproducing piano technician in Australia. The case was refinished in 1986 and still looks excellent. It comes complete with a very rare service keyboard. These were normally carried by Welte technicians and were not shipped with every piano. See photos. The piano is a Steinway Vertegrand (Model K --- B1278) and has a great tone. Steinway serial number is . It has a metal tracker bar. The piano is in Sydney. The instrument came from the estate of Dr John Bottomley of London and I brought it to Australia in 1976.
