This is Tommy's Epiphone Recording B (bandmaster) tenor banjo.The time line of manufacture is somewhere between 1928 & 1935.It's in very good to excellent condition for its age (keep in mind it's an 85+ year old instrument).The hardware appears to be gold plated but I can't confirm this.The neck is Brazilian Rosewood.The fret board is 5-ply Gaboon Ebony.The neck binding is white pyralin ivoroid).The back and headstock back is Amber pyralin (tortoise shell).The top appears to be the original.The neck and body have wood marquetry.Options:IUCCI-MUTE-PAT (Iucci patented swing arm mute).Condition:The body and neck are in very good to excellent condition (see photos).The head is in excellent condition.The back is laminated Amber pyralin and has a wear mark.The MOP star inlays are in good overall condition with portions of the 1, 3, 5, 7, & 12 markers missing.The plating on the metal parts has a slight tarnish in areas.Three of the four tuning pegs have been replaced.The case is the original to this banjo.It's in fair condition.The leather strap has dried out on one end and is hanging on by the other.The back and front are taped to the sides.The bottom latch is missing from the case.Extras:The banjo comes with the case, 1 original MOP tuner button, 1 extra complete tuner, an extra bridge, an original gold plated tuner ferrule, an extra white mute arm cover, and an extra set of vintage Gibson Banjo strings.USA Shipping Only: USPS Priority 1-4 day - same cost to all buyers w/USA shipping address: $105.00Shipping in the continental USA includes handling, insurance for the full value of the banjo, and adult signature required fee.NOTE To eBay management: The CITES Treaty was put into enforcement in 1975.Please correct this in your software to allow instruments older than 1975 to be sold internationally.
