This is an early 1970's Ludwig Standard drumset model S-300. This exact catalog setup is featured in the 1968 catalog. It features a 12"x8" rack tom, 14"x14" floor tom, 20"x 14" bass drum and 5"x14" snare drum. These kits use the EXACT same 3 ply Chicago U.S. made shells as the more expensive regular Keystone era drums of the 1960's. Downbeat kits with a matching jazzfest can go into the $3k plus range depending on finish. Here is your chance to get a complete kit (minus snare stand) for much less. This kit is truly collectors / museum grade. The only flaws I could find were one scratch on a lug and one dent on a lug insert. This is the cleanest kit in my collection and looks as though it was kept in a closet for many years. The toms and bass were born together as a kit and matching snare added later. The finish is very vibrant and in excellent condition considering the age. This kit is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. More pictures on request and local pickup available in the DMV area (D.C.- Maryland - Virginia).I will value the kit for the full sale amount for customs and insurance purposes. International buyers responsible for taxes, VAT or customs fees. Bid with confidence as I have 100% feedback on eBay and great feedback in the vintage drum community. The last picture depicts other kits I have; those kits are NOT part of this auction. Thanks, Manny
