1995 FOCUSRITE RED 3 DUAL COMPRESSOR LIMITER REV2This is one of the best mixbuss compressor (and limiter) ever made. Sure you´ve heard about kissing the Focusrite of Chris Lord Alge. But this Red 3 is one of few earlies RED3 with transformers IN and OUT. It´s the Rev 2, you can see it and also the date (1995) in the photos.The Input trannies give an special color that shines in every mix. Tony Marra, Focusrite´s guru confirmed about the trannies. INPUT trannies are the square box as he told me (right in the photo 9, 10, 11 and 12).Also you can see this early Focusrite Red3 hasn´t the switch +14 close to the vumeters.I had the Focusrite 230 too, another great compressor but I think the Red 3 sounds even a little better.So, my loss is your gain. The Focusrite Red 3 was designed by Rupert Neve as an evolution of Neve 33609. *Of course the number 3 and 4 adhesives are only adhesives.
