We have a Wonderful Restored 43 Note Tangley Calliaphone Calliope by Miner Corporation.
AN IMPRESSIVE (and loud) PARADE/PARTY VEHICLE.
Restored Model CA-43 Tangley Calliaphone, built in 1988, restored in 2015, nearly identical to those originally produced in the 1920s. 110 volt powered roll mechanism operated by 1 PSI of compressed air. It plays a 10-tune music roll (like a player piano roll) automatically with the movement of one lever. Roll rewinds automatically at the end of the last tune. Can also be played manually on its 43 note keyboard. The Tangley Calliaphone is designed to meet the challenges of years of service. Great for use in advertising, parades, carnivals, circuses and parties. Pipes are solid brass, whistles tuned with high quality valves. Solid hardwood based cabinet with a durable glossy red finish on the heavy gauge sheet metal enclosure. Alternate modern electronic controls available from the company. Calliope is mounted on a brand new 5 X 9 utility trailer, with lighted canopy professionally built by Kohler Awning Co. of Buffalo, NY. Graphics and gold leaf decorations are by Visual Effects Signs of East Aurora, NY. Trailer is New York State inspected and boasts a vanity license plate reading Calliope .
