Description

Hello. Up for sale is one of those nice little mahogany Guild guitars from the 1960s that Nick Drake used, the M-20.This M-20 is fun to play and sounds good. It looks really cool too in a vintage folky/bluesy wayThe guitar is in good condition. It has wear and tear and some normal acoustic guitar issues. It plays OK with what would be considered medium action height by today's low action standards. The guitar has a mellow tone. The action height is 7/64" at for the low E at the 12th frets and 5/64" for the high E at the 12th fret. The saddle was lowered somewhat.Condition wise the guitar is good to very good. There is some wear to the finish on the back of the neck. There are two small pickguard cracks in the top which are associated with the celluloid pickguard shrinking. This is called "Martin-itis" on Martin guitars. There is pick wear on the the front and belt wear on the back of the guitar. The plastic headstock overlay has noticeably shrunken a bit and has a bit of a wavy appearance in a few spots along the edge. I guess among major acoustic guitar manufacturers this could only happen on a Guild!
