Description: Very rare, high quality spring reverb unit made in Japan. Excellent condition and built to last. Produced in the late 70s to early 80s, when products were made to last. Purchased direct from Japan and tested. Very clean unit inside and out: springs and electronics in immaculate condition. This unit also features extra stereo line outs and stereo Aux inputs on the back for connecting multiple inputs/outputs (see photos).
Use: Hawk units were made for professional studio use, karaoke, and home hi-fi sound systems. This unit has both mic and line inputs on the front, and 2 stereo aux inputs and line outs on the back. The reverb sounds excellent, and plugging instruments into the mic input produces amazing, warm crunch and overdriven tones. Notes / Details: Backlit VU meter looks great and moves to indicate sound input, yet doesn't "bounce" as intensely as some other VU meters on some other machines; not sure if this is normal or not. Also, a small piece of the plastic coating has peeled off on top of one of the wooden side-ends, but this won't be visible on a rack or shelf (see photo).100v Japanese model: will work on North American mains power, and can be used in the UK/EU with a step-down transformer.
