A very rare 1996 Gibson "The Epiphone Mandolin" MM-50 in Mint Condition with Hard CaseThe Epiphone mandolin is a great playing and sounding instrument. It has been professionally set up and is amazing to play even at the first fret. Because of it's mature age the sound from this mandolin is just just terrific. There is very little sign's of play wear anywhere on the body (see pics). It is a 1996 MM50, made in Korea, according to Jon Sutherland at Gibson. It has the Gibson Truss Rod Cover which makes it even more rare. These Korean models are very sought after and this one is in great condition.
