Late 1800'S SS Stewart Banjo large 12" metal clad rim with original hardware (metal parts) I do not know if 4 of the tuners or tailpiece are original. Head is a modern "Elite" brand. Rim and dowel stick have S# 5128 and company stamp. Cherry neck with stars, dot 's and diamond shaped inlay. Maltese cross friction pegs and wood replacement 5th string peg. Nylon strings and engraved bone? tailpiece (very nice piece). Neck is straight with no bow or twist.  Fretboard shows signs of old professional work at the 7th fret. (See Pictures). Frets look like new. Most hardware looks real nice but some plating on the tension hoop and hooks is worn, most of the metal looks really good and she's about 120 years old. ships in a 1920's vintage case with a little duct tape on the bottom end but protects the banjo well and all latches work plus it looks cool!
