1960 vintage Fender Bassman tweed 4x10 electric guitar amplifier SN# BM03743This one has been tucked away for many years. It is an old professional recover probably done in the 1980's. It might have been recovered by Paul Lamb although I don't know for sure. Very light lacquer over the tweed. In addition the feet, the handle, and I don't know about the badge, are replacement parts. I don't think is is the original baffle and the speakers are non-original but period correct and awesome Jensen  P10Q's. The chassis is super clean and original where it counts. There are replacement sprague filters under the can. There have in addition been some changed parts for failed resistors or misc. caps but very few. The on/off switch was arching during testing so it was just replaced. A three prong cord has been added. An adjustable bias pot was added (cleanly) at some point in the life of this amp.  Two pre amp tube shields are missing.The cabinet label is stamped JF, for a production date of October 1960. The circuit is the 5F6. Chassis stamp is BM03743. Pots transformers etc. are all original, and this chassis is clean - clean - clean, with no corrosion. Original control plate and knobs are good. Control plate does show signs of faded silk screen and some light pitting. The speaker date codes are as follows: A matched pair dated 220235 - 220612 -220125. The amp is functioning up to specifications and it sounds incredible. This amp is solid, clean, reliable, will blow you away on stage or in studio. There is really nothing like a fine tuned original 4x10 Bassman. I am unable to accept returns on vintage equipment. The amp will be professionally packed and insured. Guaranteed not to arrive DOA.
