2014 Fender Modern Player Starcaster- Semi-hollow body
- Upgraded Fender dual wide range humbucker pickups (see below)

- 22 frets
- Fender c-shape neckThe 3-way pickup selector was replaced with a much better switch. Solid.The pickups are original but have been upgraded to Alnico V bar magnets and wound to match how the pickups were wound in '72. Work done by Bullock Guitar Pickups in Portland, OR. Pickups reinstalled professionally by Mike's Music in Cincinnati, OH. The result is a much more articulate sound. No mud at all. The wide range humbuckers are very sweet. Case is Epiphone case b/c Fender doesn't make a case specific to this guitar. Case fits great and holds the guitar very, very tight.This guitar gets really great Old School Trey Anastasio (Phish) tones. Naturally woody and compressed. Add a Tubescreamer and you're pretty much there already!
