Welcome To Trader-Bobs Ebay Auctions. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a professional ebay seller. I take your satifaction, AS A BUYER, VERY SERIOUSLY! If there is any problem with this item you have purchased from me, I want to hear about it FIRST, before feedback is left! So that the problem can be resolved. thenextitemwehaveontheblockis!!!!!!!! Trader-BOB's MUSIC on F_CEBOOK offers a A 1941 Gibson model L-30, L 30 14-3/4" Archtop Acoustic Guitar. Lower bout, 14-3/4". This was passed down thru a local family, bought by an uncle, new in 1941, who served in WW2. Gibson FON, ( Factory Order Number) , "225 G 49". The "225 G' is ink stamped, the "49" is hand written. The "G" makes it 1941 production, according to what I have found on the internet. It has been played over the years, but is it great condition for being 75 years old. This guitar is exactly as I got it, no polishing, no adjustments on the neck, only slight tuning. There is a crack, in the upper body protruding from the neck heel, see the 4th picture. Looks like a finish crack. In picture number 9, what appears to be a crack, is a scratch thru the finish. There are strum marks on the top, someone played it pretty hard. The top and bottom binding is in great shape. The pickguard has a hole in it, that once mounted a volume control for an externally mounted pickup, more than likely a "Monkey on a Stick" type, that clamped to the strings behind the bridge. There is no physical evidence of any other type of pickup being mounted anywhere. The trussrod reinforced, slightly "V" shaped neck is straight to my eye. .070" string action height, at the 12th fret. The nickel plated tuners, are the original 3, on a plate, look like "Kluson" design. There are some marks, and wear on the fret board, consistant with the age of this instrument, all in all a very fine, original example of a pre war Gibson guitar. The case, this came in, is a newer, chipboard one, the owner said the original case fell apart at the seams. I was handed this guitar, at the home of the owner, and right out of the case sounded wonderful. The resonance of these old guitars is just amazing. *************** THE SHIPPING CHARGES ARE CALCULATED BY EBAY, NOT ME **************** CHECK OUT THE SHIPPING OF THIS ITEM TO YOU, VIA EBAY'S SHIPPING CALCULATOR.
