This is a semi-rare, high-end Galveston 5 string banjo. Most Galveston banjo’s do not have a tone ring, giving them a more mellow, muted sound. However, this banjo not only looks great, but it sounds even better! It has that bluegrass ring that can only be achieved by the addition of a bronze, 18 hole tone ring. It is in very good to excellent condition with no signs of wear except very slightly on the head. It comes with a clear Weather King head, highly polished brass plating throughout (looks like real gold), geared machine pegs, adjustable clam shell tail piece, carved wood heal and back of peg head, with very nice hearts and flowers inlay up the neck and on the peg head.
