*Revision - Uploaded a photo of the body with a neck so you have more of an idea what it looks like assembled.*Hi there,Selling this rare and beautiful example of a Made in Japan Loaded (Seymour Duncan Antiquity Pickups) Double Bound Tele body from 1982.Japanese fenders are prized among players as being exceptional. Most consider Japanese Fenders to be of superior quality and craftsmanship to American standard and American deluxe variants.This statement still stands strong amongst players and musical forums today. Although a lot of Fender Japanese models (mostly the later 'Crafted In Japan' models) were made from a high quality Japanese/Asian Basswood (Much higher quality than western blocks. Not to be looked down upon as, strangely, the modern outlook seems be these days. Basswood is an amazing tone wood that surprises many players today)... This rare and vintage (This body was made in 1982) example is of a Japanese model that was used with Alder wood (The more proper tonewood) rather than Basswood. Making this a very rare and exceptionally good variant! - For it's age it really is in a exceptionally good condition (Must of been a non-touring guitar).- With time and play the finish has dispersed beautifully into the body, making it wonderfully and powerfully resonant acoustically for a solid body.- Finished in a beautifully Aged/Darkened Nitrocellulose (Nitro) Natural Finish.- Beautiful Double (Front & Back) Cream Binding. - Bridge plate is completely original with the Original 'Patent Pending' Serial and Original 'Slotted Steel' Bridge Saddles.- Comes with Original Black 'Bakelite' Pickguard & Additional White Pearl Pickguard.- Installed are some Seymour Duncan Antiquity Alnico II Pickups. Incredible and faithful vintage Pickups, that perfectly suit this body.- Also installed is a Treble Bleed Circuit & Wiring in very good condition for it's age.Based upon the dates of both the neck and bridge plates (Japanese Serial Numbers can be tedious) we've found this body to be assembled in to the original neck in 1985 but the body itself was made in 1982, a golden era in Japanese Fender Made Guitars.This body has been set up, polished and serviced either by me or by a technician.Everything clean, sparkly & ready to go!Will be shipped with the most special of care!
