OK so this is a Full size 4/4 double bass originally bought from gear for music....came with a hard foam case which was so big it was useless now has a soft case which means it will fit into most cars through the back with the seats down and between the front seats just near the handbrake...the bridge has been lowered to set the action...and the finger board which is often not flat on these instruments has been planed flat hence revealing the maple board underneath...the strings are Prestos and where originally £120 plus import bought from USA...they have a rope core with a nylon wrap so are flexible enough for slap playing and sound nice plucked too...but don't work so well with a bow i think...pick-up is an active bass guitar pick-up with a 9volt battery...it works very well with the steel core strings and is very feed back resistant...has a really great acoustic sound too...
