An original Gibson RB-4 that was produced in 1994 but this is only the beginning of the story. The RB-4 took a fall from its stand that resulted in a broken headstock. The original owner contacted Gibson to get a replacement neck and was sent by Gibson what they called a prototype neck that was built for a Terry Baucom model that never made it into mainstream production. The neck was bound and finished by a local luthier so the finish work isn’t perfect but it has held up nicely over the years. The original neck was repaired and spent some time on the banjo but was switched back out with the Prototype Baucom neck due to owner's  personal preference. The banjo is in great shape with great tone and punch and has been setup here at Capo’s Music Store. The banjo has a Fults tailpiece and Richie Dotson old-wood bridge. Banjo comes with the both the original neck and new neck plus the original Gibson case.
