This is a Chicago badge, solid shell maple 5.5" (depth) x 14" (diameter) snare. It dates to 1958, at a time when Slingerland used the moniker "Super Gene Krupa" for this type of drum instead of "Radio King." The condition is excellent, especially considering the age of the drum. The wrap has aged a bit, but it's still quite vibrant, with few minor cosmetic imperfections. Expect some very light corrosion on the metal parts. There is some minor separation between the shell and the reinforcement rings; these areas would be easy to glue and clamp if they bother you. In my opinion they are inconsequential, but I photographed them so that you can make your own judgment. Please review the supersized photos below and contact us with any specific questions or concerns. Everything works as it should and the drum sounds just as you would expect! Please note that we're including two sets of heads: the original calfskins, which are intact and add significant value, and brand new Evans Calftone batter and 300 Hazy resonant. We installed the latter set to preserve the originals. Shipping is free in the US48 (up to a $40.00 value!), but we'll ship this drum anywhere in the world.
