Description

This very guitar is actually pictured on page 32 of George Gruhns book entitled " Acoustic Guitars and Other Fretted Instruments." It is in what was described as museum quality, including the original hard shell case which is also in excellent condition. All original. There are only very minor nicks in the finish.T here is one blemish on peghead where it appears someone rubbed some finish off. The ebony tail piece was cracked but repaired properly prior to my ownership. The top is tight grained spruce. The back and sides are Brazilian rosewood and the neck is mahogany. The woodgrain in the neck and back and sides is spectacular.. I have it strung with DR light gauge phosphor bronze strings. The sound is very even from high to low and the tone is beautiful and full that only rosewood of this age could produce. It is a joy to play and a fantastic guitar for finger picking. Please email prior to bidding with any questions and I would be more than happy to answer. Sale is final and buyer is to pay full shi kipping costs. This guitar with case is a documented part of history and a spectacular instrument for not only a player but also a collector. Thank you for reading this and good luck bidding!
