1930's VINTAGE PARLOR GUITAR SUPERTONE, HARMONY This is a cool old guitar, built in Chicago I would guess in the early 30's these usually have a date inside, I couldn't see it,the paper label is all but gone but I have seen this model before actually their are a few very similar instruments currently for sale here on Ebay. This has a Solid mahogany back and sides and a solid top of Spruce, and a Mahogany neck all the woods you look for in a quality guitar 80 years ago and today. This is a beautiful instrument. Built by Harmony, Supertone was the Brand name the Sears company used in those days. It is in Good condition overall, it would be an amazing display guitar or a great player.
Has a nice set of vintage tuners, likely original, the adjustable steel bridge is original. Scale length 24 1/4", nut width 1 7/8"+ frets look pretty good no divets, probably not played a lot, it had a riser nut on it when I bought it.
Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The guitar is playable and would be a nice addition to a collection. And its priced very reasonable. It does come with its original hard canvas case which is in good shape and shows some light wear. From my inspection I believe this guitar is all solid woods most harmonys from this era were. It will be well packed. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Don't wait too long or it will be gone!
