One of a Kind Leo Fender made in Japan with artist signed painting on the inside of a resonator. In honor to our soldiers.Back in the 1970's when folk music and bluegrass were in a renaissance, Leo Fender decided he wanted to compete with all the Gibson Mastertones that were flying off the shelves and he designed the Fender ARTIST and the LEO (named after himself). These were wonderful banjos . . . heavy, beautiful, loud and very popular. This is a banjo for professionals. Beautiful vintage "Leo Fender" banjo!
1970's Leo 5-string banjo by Fender. Made in Japan.
Resonator is in great shape.
Frets, nut, and fret board are in excellent condition.The head stock also has fancy mother of pearl inlay around the name LEO.
The banjo pot, neck and resonator are beautiful as well.Keep in mind it is used and there are normal scratches from normal playing. It is a beautiful piece. Plays as good as any Gibson I have owned.
