A collectors piece to add to the arsenal!! Special opportunity to own and play one of the great archtop guitars of all time. This is a 1954 Levin De Luxe Archtop Cutaway version - Serial # 316783, the same make and Golden era years hand built guitar played by the one and only Django Reinhardt. There are many photos of Django with a Levin De Luxe."This one is rarer than Django's. Look at that headstock!! This Levin is amazing. As one would expect it has a huge tone and plays perfectly. The wood grain on the back is exquisite. Also,this Levin Deluxe was ordered with the standard Levin N:r 6 Dansant fretboard to emphasize the beauty of the fretboard. It is much more aesthetically pleasing, as the standard Deluxe fretboard does clash somewhat with headstock. Think about it.The guitar is in excellent condition- 2 repaired top cracks- beneath pickguard and above bass f hole. Straight neck. All original except new pickguard and tuners." This one is a real beauty- a gigantic 18 1/4 " wide lower bout with robust sound projection and the sweetest sound you ever heard. It has a beefy, c-shaped oval neck that I measure at a fraction under 2" at the nut. And, again, look at that unique Art Deco headstock!! There is nothing else like it !! Finished in sunburst . Has original case too!! Honestly, this is a great sounding guitar and a piece of art from a wonderful era in guitar making. Being offered at a very fair price. You will be very proud of this guitar!
