1967 GUILD STARFIRE BASS - SUNBURST - ANDY BAXTER BASS
Estimated price for orientation: 2 100 $
Category: Bass Guitars
Class:
Description
1967 Guild Starfire bass with a Sunburst finish. This bass is quite similar to the Gibson EB2. It comes with a Swedish-made Hagstrom pickup, which has a sweet, rich sound, with quite a bit more high end than the Gibson’s pickup. Two of the most innovative rock bassists of the psychedelic era, the Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh and Jack Casady of the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, were early users of the Starfire basses. The finish is in great condition with only a few dings to the body, mainly around the edges. The same can be said for the neck and headstock which also displays only a little wear. Everything is structurally sound. The binding is all intact, the electronics and hardware are in excellent working order. The bass has been fully set up with Black nylon strings by my technician. The weight is: 7.6 lbs. Serial: BA-1135. The pots date to 1966. The neck dimensions are: Nut W:1.53" D:0.93" 12th W:1.94" D:0.969"Manufacturer - Guild
