Slingerland Radio King 30’s Floor Tom with Basket This auction is for a late 1930’s Slingerland Radio King 16x16 white marine pearl floor tom with a 30’s floor tom basket. It has 16 double ended snare lugs indicating that this tom was one of the first made (see Coopersvintagedrums.com). The shell has 3 maple rerings, the bottom is 2 ½”, the middle is 1 1/2”, and the top is 1”. It also has 8 Tympani style tension rods on the batter hoop with “S” stamped on both sides. The muffler is green. The chrome is in great condition. The wrap has a tight seam. The original calf heads are also in great condition. Please note that this is not a re-wrap, it is all original.The tone of this drum is amazing, you won’t find it on any other floor tom. It just Sing, Sing, Sings !
