Comp/LimiterUp for consideration is a brand new Warm Audio WA76 compressor / limiter -- a modern recreation of the classic Urei/Universal Audio 1176 Revision D limiter, complete with the original design Reichenbach/CineMag transformer. Originally released by Urei in 1968, the Bill Putnam design was the first solid-state peak-limiter on the market, and soon became a staple of every major recording studio for the last 50 years. It adds a pleasing edge / gritty / excitement, made things bigger, and excelled as a lead vocal comp, bring them out in a mix.
