Guild CO-2C Contemporary Series Orchestra Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar Product Description:An orchestra-size guitar with vintage F-30 body style, a solid red spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides, the Guild CO-2C acoustic features the patent pending Guild® Graphite Neck Block System combined with traditional building techniques for exceptional tone, playability, and longevity. A bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, abalone dot inlays, and ivoroid body binding underscore the Contemporary Series' purpose: To satisfy a market seeking an alternative to high-priced acoustics, with a better price point and a more "woody" tone; also to satisfy players who want a road-worthy guitar without compromising sound and playability. The modern Guild Neck Block System is designed for more sustain and better clarity, qualities strengthened even further by a bone nut and saddle. The pure, rich tone of all solid woods will only improve with age, thanks to a thin lacquer finish that allows the wood to age naturally, while still providing the needed protection to make the Guild CO-2C guitar road-worthy.D-TAR™ Wave-Length™ Pickup SystemThe D-TAR Wave-Length combines a thin, piezo under-saddle transducer with an 18v, low-noise, high input impedance preamp, to create a pickup system with twice the dynamic range of typical 9v systems. The 18v preamp is powered by two AA batteries. With 18 volts, your signal has more headroom, so hard strumming won't distort as easily. The Wave-Length preamp also has an input for a second source, like a magnetic pickup or a soundboard transducer. Two adjustable trim pots, one low frequency shelving and one high frequency shelving, allow you to fine tune and set and forget the bass and treble frequencies to optimize the Wave-Length pickup and preamp for your instrument's size and shape; enabling you to transparently amplify the natural timbre of your acoustic guitar with minimal coloration.List Price = $2,699.99Our Price = $1,149 (save 57% off list!)What was refurbished on this guitar:When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issues found by the authorized refurbisher were some minor lacquer cracks underneath the bridge and in the body binding. The cracks were expertly repaired by the refurbisher - completely sealed and re-finished (see photos). No other repairs or modifications were made to the guitar. Aside from the minor lacquer repairs, it looks and plays like new.Includes Guild TKL hard case.
