Rare Fender Tube Reverb Unit from 1963! The 1961 through 1966 Fender Reverb units were basically all the same layout and circuit design, but there are rare cosmetic variants.  This is the only one I have seen with this combination of cosmetics.  I've priced this as if it were a normal blonde '64, but... Transitional Smooth Blonde Tolex '63... The Flat '63 Logo, Wheat Grill Cloth, Brown Strap Handle, and Smooth Blond Tolex all look original to me. An early use of the "Smooth Blonde Tolex" and "Brown Strap Handle" cosmetics;  used in Fender Factory production starting late 1963, and lasting for only a brief period - ending with the introduction of the Blackface Piggybacks in 1964... I've heard a lot of '60s era Fender Reverb units, I think this one Sounds Fantastic! Manufactured in 1963!  NOT A RE-ISSUE! The circuit electronics look well maintained and mostly original... as does the transformer;    It has nice vintage tubes that sound great to me. - Phillips JAN - , - National Electric USA - ; and then what looks to be an Amperex, (possibly a Bugle-Boy, but the paint is smeared so I cant be sure)...  There are some Tolex scuffs, etc; ... Just as you would expect for a unit this age that has actually been used... The Grill cloth and Logo look exceptionally clean and original to me for its age... No snags that I notice. Of some note: 1.) Grounded 3 Prong AC cord added for safety.  2.) Correct orientation MOD spring tank. If you play out, you can appreciate this. I've found them far more reliable than the delicate originals. To me it sounds great, tight and easy to control, yet all the '60s surf sound when you want it!  ...This reverb is ready is ready for the studio or to gig! 3.) I count 3 replaced caps. My amp tech said "the signal caps look all original, the replaced ones are coupling caps  (witch is a good thing)".  You can tell it has been respectfully serviced, I'd call it ready to Gig! See the pictures for the actual cosmetic condition, "One picture is worth a thousand words". I have tried to focus in on any cosmetic flaws, including the condition of the Tolex, for all the pictures. I think it has exceptional eye-appeal for a vintage unit.  Great hammer and sustain, Very versatile. I think it sounds amazing! If you want an original without spending a couple grand, this is your chance! After close examination, I did notice some residue as if it may have been painted once, but the residue is so minuscule, I only noticed while taking the photos for this sale.  Other than functional and playability issues, I tend to preserve vintage amps, not embellish;  I like it just as it is. Please view all the pictures carefully, so there are no surprises. I have a 100% Feedback rating. As not to disappoint buyers, be aware that once an eBay bid has been placed, the eBay auction will determine the buyer; ... the auction will not be ended early once a bid has been placed. Fixed Price Shipping!;  There is No "Partial Shipping Refund" if by some miracle it costs less to ship!... Shipping is fixed price to the USA 48.  Alaska, Hawaii, or any other destination must use the eBay Global Shipping service.  All pictures are of the actual reverb at auction. Because of the nature of vintage electronics, this reverb is being sold as is; no returns, no refunds, no partial refunds, none of that. While most music people are honest, you hear of some scoundrels out there, swapping parts and flat out stealing from honest sellers. Thanks for looking!
