For sale is a Henry Starck made bagpipe for the firm Boosey & Hawkes LTD.  Extremely rare that this bagpipe is stamped in 4 different locations.  This bagpipe has natural mounts and nickel ferrules.  I'm unsure what type of wood this is.It is widely known that Starck made bagpipes for many firms. This bagpipe is all original.  Sticks, stocks, blowpipe and chanter.  Cords not included.Let me start with the imperfections.  All of the ferrules are here, but 2 are loose, and one is bent, this will need repaired.  I believe that some of the ferrules are in the wrong location as well.  Looking at the top tenor drone ferrules, the middle shows a little gap between the ferrule and top of drone wood.  This looks to the correct size for one of the bass drone ferrules.  I think this became loose at one point and a previous owner made it for for this location.  This will need to be removed somehow.  Obviously the bent ferrule will need to be reworked.  The ferrules on all of the drone stocks look great.  Just the drone ferrules need to be reworked a bit.One other thing to note is the tenor drone top natural ring.  There is a split there.  This piece up top can be unscrewed.  It screws on nice and snug, just a repair will be needed if desired to fill that gap.Other than that, this is one amazing bagpipe!I added some hemp to the drones just to fit them in my own bagpipe and to play them for a bit, on a couple different occasions.  The bagpipe is steady, full, and solid.  Everything you would want.Interesting to note the chanter stock.  Its quite wide, made from a thick piece of wood, just found that to be quite unique. There aren't very many documented, stamped Boosey & Hawkes Bagpipes.  And to find one is extremely rare.  And to find one in pretty good shape even more rare. This bagpipe is stamped in 4 different locations.  One stamp on the chanter towards the bottom.  And below that the number 42.  Not sure what the 42 means.Looking at the tenor drone tops picture, on the left just above the ferrule you will see a stamp, and on the right tenor drone top, a few inches above the ferrule, you will see another stamp.  This bagpipe is also stamped on the bass drone bottom section, see picture.Chanter stamp:  MADE BY Boosey & Hawkes Ltd 42Left tenor stamp:  Boosey & Hawkes LtdRight tenor stamp:  Boosey & Hawkes LtdBass stamp:  MADE BY Boosey & Hawkes LtdI have been told that this bagpipe could have likely been made between the world wars.  Between 1918 - 1939.This is quite the historical instrument.  Not sure if another exists.  Buy it before I decide to keep it.Any questions please ask.  Thank you.
