Olds Super Cornet from LA. One Owner !

Up for auction is an Olds Super cornet. This is a very nice survivor that I'm a little reluctant to sell. But I'm going to sell off this and one other .... one owner cornet. This is a horn from our private collection... not just a horn that walked into our shop and was sold or traded in. The original owner played this horn at the University of Oklahoma and then later in the Oklahoma City symphony and various local municipal bands since the 50's. At some point (as his widow told it...) his band mates made good natured fun of him for holding on to the original case in its worn condition... and she bought him this Protec gig bag. As you can see from the bag, it is not that old as he played up until a couple of years ago. So he held on to that old case for a long time. Unfortunately, she could not find it and I have followed up with her several times over the last couple of years, but have stopped calling her as I don't want to upset her. I don't have the old case, and that's it. I do however have what may be a NOS Olds cornet mouthpiece to throw in. It's at the shop and this horn is at home with me. So I will try to add pics of the mouthpiece later this week. I say it is NOS because there is not really a shank mark on it. Nary a blem at all. I've got several so I will pick a good one. This price may seem on the full side to you.... but I am kind of over the heavy fees. Paypal has upped their fees to 4% as I found out this week when I lost 44 dollars on a 1150 dollar Strad trombone. Put that together with the 10 % we pay the Bay.... plus now they charge us sellers 10% on shipping fees! ugh. So 569.00 is the best I can do. NO reserve. International bidders will be using the eBay global shipping program. Posted shipping price is for conus only. All other US states and territories must pay the priority upcharge. Thanks for looking
