Description
BAE 312A modules are known for being replicas of the old API 312 preamp design from consoles in the 70's. This particular piece is a special edition, signed by former Guns N'Roses drummer Matt Sorum. The only differences between the traditional 312A module are a 3KHz boost when pulling the gain know up (see pics). Also, the use of a new Jensen input transformer, designed to provide 7dB less gain. These two features are very useful when recording loud sources, such as drums. 3KHz sounds very interesting on kick drum. This unit has very little use. Other than a very small mark on the top corner, this unit looks almost like new.
