This is the cleanest 60s Fender Precision I've had in stock. Beautiful Sunburst finish with a Rosewood fingerboard. All original including the case, covers and untouched solder. Nice and light weighing only 8lbs 8oz. There are only a couple of tiny marks/dings on the body, the neck and headstock are both exceptionally clean. Theres a very some faint buckle rash on the back. Above all this bass plays and sounds great, it has a warm tone with plenty of thump. Some of the pre CBS features remain such as a wide profile neck and long reverse tuners. The Sunburst finish is still incredibly vibrant and the body marked ES under the pick guard. ("Entered special" at the factory) Custom colour orders were often marked with this ES stamp but so too were some Sunbursts. The chances are this bass was used as an example at a trade show in 66. Fully set up with a fresh set of flat wound strings by my technician allowing for a smooth playing action. The pots date to the 31st week of June and the pickups to September 66. The neck is stamped Oct 66 C. All round fantastic bass. Set up nice and low with a great action.
