1980 Gibson SG Firebrand
Description:
For your consideration is a 1980 Gibson SG Firebrand, non original Gibson tuners and truss rod cover, 80's Gibson pickup in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck. Professionally rewired, hand made rear control cavity (made from walnut, looks great). A previous owner did a terrible looking headstock repair, but it seems to be stable, I have not had any tuning issues. There is a piece of wood missing from the repair, and a lot of excess glue at the repair and along the back of the neck. Guitar also has a lot of marks and wear (that I tried to capture in the photos), which I think makes it look great. There is a little bit of buzzing around the 14th fret, so may need a little bit of fret leveling work, but plays with good action otherwise. Missing one of the height adjustment screws for the neck pickup, but, pickup stays in place.
