This is for a vintage C.G. Conn model 30-I Double Bell Euphonium. Five short action valves. The serial number is 307XXX. According to the Conn serial number list, the manufacture date is 1935. It has a gold lacquer finish. The lacquer has come off in a number of places. There are 3 patches that were professionally done a long time ago, one on the bottom of the lead pipe, one on the bow of the first valve tuning slide, and one on one of the branches of the small bell tubing. It appears that this horn was re-lacquered after these patches were put on the horn. There is also a recent patch put on the bottom bow of the small bell tubing. There was a deep dent there, and when the dent was being taken out, the seam in the tubing split. Earlier this year, the valves were plated by Anderson's Silver Plate in Elkhart, Indiana. Anderson's requires that the valve assembly be removed from the instrument and all of the tubing be removed from the casings before they will work on the valves. Because of this, all of the valve slide sleeves and the braces holding the sleeves to the body of the horn have been re-soldered. The valve job cost $725.00. There are small dents and dings here and there. The former owner of the euphonium was a professional trombone player from many years ago. It was purchased from his son. This is a very good playing horn. A beat-up, smelly case is available on request. I don;t know if it is the original case, but it is a case for a Conn bell front double bell euphonium of that period. The cost of Priority Mail shipping is the same with or without the case, since the cost is based on dimensional weight, based on the large size. Parcel post is about $5.00 less, without the case. The Buyer to pay $$90.00 for USPS Priority Mail postage. Parcel Post is $60.00 and is possible, but only by request as it may take up to 6 weeks for delivery. The postage calculator shows 2 to 9 days for Parcel Post, but this is incorrect. That is probably within the continental United States. It goes by ship from Honolulu to the West Coast and will sit at the dock until there is a full container. International Priority Mail postage will be about $106.60, or $82.75, without the case, depending on the country. There are not any added on charges for packing, materials, handling, time, etc. Only actual shipping will be charged. Should the actual shipping be less than paid, the amount of the over-payment will be refunded. I If there is any damage to an item, the receiver needs to file the claim with the Post Office. The buyer will need to take the damaged item to the Post Office, with the original wrapping, in order to file a claim. If you are not satisfied you will receive a complete refund, including postage, upon receipt of the returned item in the same condition as sent. Absolutely NO discounts will be given, items need to be returned if not satisfied. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: If there is a problem, you only need to contact me. Please do so immediately after delivery. If there is a problem, please do not open a case with Ebay or PayPal as everything I sell on Ebay is satisfaction guaranteed. Please ask questions before you bid.
