Brand New Jensen C10R Speakers! Made In USA!
This is really cool. You are looking at a 1966 Gibson GA-55 RVT Ranger White Panel 4x10 Combo Amp. This 50 watt all tube amp has 4 brand new 10" Jensen C10R Speakers. This GA-55 is the Top of the Line Gibson for that time period. The RVT stands for Reverb, Vibrato, Tremolo. Built from 1965 to 1967, this was Gibson's answer to the Fender Super Reverb. The Gibson is a little more sophisticated and has a warmer tone than a Fender. A really great sounding and playing amp. These Gibson amps were really engineered very well. It is said that Gibson hired a lot of military electrical engineers after World War II returning vets who were used to designing complex radar and aviation systems. They built some first rate items.But how does it sound? This amp is a TONE MONSTER! Perfect gigging amp. Breaks up late with lots of Headroom. Very Bluesy. The Reverb is very lush and wet. The Tremolo is great. The frequency knob allow you to adjust the speed of the tremolo. Takes Pedals very well. If you are after that 1960's early trashy rock or blues sound, this is for you! Gets Plenty Loud with still retaining that Warm tube sound. Very Retro. Serial Number : #A05097Weight: 70.25 lbs.Complete Package w / Original Footswitch!Best of Both Worlds. Player as well as a Collector. The value of these vintage Gibson Amps has been steadily going up. This is an amp you can really use. Especially considering this is a 50 year old vintage amp. You will never loose any money on this amp if you ever decide to sell it and you will probably actually make a profit if you ever let it go. Not too many of these amps out there especially in this condition. Kind of like dirt. They are not making anymore of them.

Cosmetics: Good Condition. The tolex has some scratches, scuffs and minor tears. It is in pretty decent shape. The grill cloth is faded due to age and has a couple of small holes, tears and frays. (See picture #1, use zoom feature). The instrument control panel has some scratches and fading due to age. All lettering is clear and legible. Overall, good shape. Normal wear and tear. It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
