I am selling this cold bronze sculpture of a Fender Stratocaster guitar body by Jon Douglas.Made by Jon Douglas in his London studio in the early 1990s from molds of his original 1975 sculpture, this is number 22 of 25 replicas made of a limited run of numbered Rhinestone Strats.I bought this body in 1991 from a colleague who was responsible for getting the 25 pieces made by Jon Douglas. This is one of two bodies that I have owned since 1991. This body has been store away from sunlight for the last 15 years and I as perfect as the day I bought it.For those who know, Fender Rhinestone Guitar was recently sold for approx. £6500 pounds $9,000 dollars. I understand that the price is due in part to the guitar parts used to make the fender rhinestone were from an early 1970's fender Stratocaster. This body would look great customised with any guitar parts that could be fitted to the body. In fact you could build a tailor made guitar to your specification using this body as a foundation. For further interest you will find information about the guitar and Jon Douglas on the internet. This should appeal to the USA market as the exchange rate is very much in your favour.I would be happy to answer any emails. For international buyers I will quote shipping and insurance costs before sending.
